Family Faith Formation is a dynamic program where both parent/guardians and children will learn and grow together in their faith through both home and church catechesis.  It is not your typical drop off program. Parents and children will gather once a month at the Lower School. Children will gather in their age appropriate groups where they will receive formal catechesis. Parents will gather in the Lower School gym and be engaged in the same topic of the week through talks, discussion, fellowship, and preparing for the weeks ahead. After our monthly gathering, parents/guardians and children will receive their take home lessons to learn and discuss as a family for the remaining weeks of the month.

St. Thomas Aquinas Young Disciple Sunday’s are focused on building and strengthening our overall Young Disciple community. This is an opportunity for our children to come together each month to grow relationships amongst our Young Disciples, making friends within our Catholic community. Our Young Disciple’s will play games, crafts, a service project and lunch! This is a time for socialization with just our Young Disciples.

Come organize a Service Project with our staff for families to serve in our community. Engaging in service with one’s family can be a powerful opportunity for growing in faith. Both children and adults are more likely to have a growing, strong faith when their family serves others together.

The St. Thomas Aquinas Young Disciples Core Team is made up of volunteers and staff for all the different ministries that impact our kindergarten through 6th Grade. It is a team of humble servants who collectively seek the Lord’s will for passing on the Faith through Family Formation, both in our parish and beyond, and meet monthly as a regular means of personal and team support for the many aspects of the program.

We offer one family retreat each year for families wanting to grow deeper together in their relationship with the Lord. These retreats are a perfect opportunity to step away from our hectic and busy lives and spend quality time with our family while focusing on our relationship with God.

The Young Disciple Family Events Core Team is made up of volunteers and staff who are eager to bring families together in community. Family Events are scheduled monthly throughout the year.

Pange Língua is a night of worship hosted on the first Tuesdays of every month at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. This night is a time of worship for families, youth, and young adults of the parish to join together with our Lord to pray specifically for the community of St. Thomas Aquinas, our priests, our leaders, and for unity in the Church.

Pange Língua is from 7:00-8:30 p.m. every first Tuesday of the month following the 6:15 p.m. Mass. There will be time for meditation, adoration, song, silence, and Confessions. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
