What is Reconciliation?
The sacrament of Reconciliation is about the mercy of Jesus Christ. Honestly confessing our sins reconciles us to God and restores us to his grace and intimate friendship. Confession breaks the power of shame and hurt of sin, and restores and revitalizes our relationships within the community of faith in the life of our Church.
Sacramental Preparation
First Reconciliation preparation usually begins in 1st grade. Reconciliation is offered in the fall of your child's 2nd grade year. For your child to celebrate his or her First Reconciliation, he or she must be enrolled in St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School or the Young Disciples Family Formation Program for at least two consecutive years.
